SUMMARY:Friends of BTAC Volunteers weekend
DESCRIPTION:Friends of Barton Turf Adventure Centre volunteers working weekend \nBTAC site and fen is a relatively small area but it does not diminish its importance as a protected habitat or valuable education resource.  Unfortunately there are just as many jobs here for the small team as there are on a larger site. \nVolunteers can get involved with read cutting\, marsh management\, boardwalk renewal\, site\, path and building maintenance or scrub bashing depending upon the weather and team leaders available. \nWe hope our volunteers benefit by working together\, sharing practical conservation skill and techniques and having the opportunity to  enhance their knowledge of flora and fauna including birds\, butterflies\, dragonflies and plants.  We hope they feel appreciated\, knowing they are supporting an education centre and SSSI. \nOn this weekend we provide meals from Friday lunch to Monday lunch for all volunteers that have booked in advance.  Accommodation is also available in our static tents for those coming out of area. \nEveryone is welcome; to book attendance for any/all days\, meals and/or accommodation please email Di on bookings@btac-services.co.uk. \n  \n
